Where in the world is Africa?   How many times is Africa larger than The United States? How is the savanna defined in the video? Which animals can be found in the savanna biome?   1. It lies between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans; The Mediterranean Sea separates from the European continent.
      2.  Africa is three times the measure of the United States.                                                                       3. The savanna is a grassy plain wich covers nearly half of africa. Is characterized by scattered trees among a landscape of grasses and shrubs.
      4.  The animals that can be found in the savanna are the elephant or the giraffe.
      5.   Is located in south africa.
      6.  The most important deserts are the Sahara, the Namib and the Kalahari.
      7. The main natura resources are the gold mines and rubber.

1.      Africa runs 5 000 miles from the Mediterranean sea all the way down to the cape of hope and 4 600 miles from cape verde all the way over to Somalia

6.      Africa actually has its own version of the lakes with famous lakes like Lake Malawi, lake Victoria and lake Tanganyika

7.      All the Africa is a plateau. Meaning that Africa itself is an elevate land. But that doesn’t mean you can’t find any  mountains in Africa. You can find mountain ranges like, for example, the Atlas in northwestern Africa.

8.      Africa also has some interesting mountains like Kilimanjaro, the highest pick in Africa which seems to just rise on it own out of the  ground

9.      The Great Rift Valley refers to a region of Africa that is  literally, being populated apart. There are some tectonic plates that are located within or near Africa, that are, actually, moving away from each other, and what’s doing is creating not just some of the highest television in Africa, but also lakes like Tanganyika that is among the dippest in the world.

Unit 2
Beeches:
A large tree with smooth grey bark, glossy leaves, and hard, pale fine-grained timber.
Thickets:
A dense group of bushes or trees
Taiga:
The swampy coniferous forest of high northern latitudes, especially that between the tundra and steppes of Siberia
Meadows:
A piece of grassland, especially one used for hay
Tundra:
A vast, flat, treeless Arctic region of Europe, Asia, and North America in which the subsoil is permanently frozen
Shrubs:
A woody plant which is smaller than a tree and has several main stems arising at or near the ground.

  • What do I need to improve? All the units.
  •  What did I learn about culture? About the ttibes of Australia and New Zeland, and the storytelling of ireland.
I think that I have not progressed since this course, I started with bad foot. My notes are lower than usual. Although I'm now better off asking questions. This second quarter I will have to put the batteries.
